Adopt-A-Shelter is a volunteer program that helps businesses, individuals, community organizations and schools make a real difference in their neighborhoods by "adopting" local bus shelters. Longview Transit maintains approximately 40 shelters throughout Longview. An adopter, whether it's an individual or a group, can assist Longview Transit in its efforts to maintain clean and safe shelters which add to the overall beauty within our community. By partnering with Longview Transit in the Adopt-A-Shelter program, you will help to provide immediate attention to maintenance concerns, graffiti removal, urgent repairs, and security issues. When you or your group adopts a shelter, we will place a decal with the adopter's name and/or logo on the shelter.

Participant Duties

Participant agrees to adopt a bus shelter for at least one year.

Participant agrees to regularly maintain (at least three times monthly) the adopted shelter by being responsible for removing trash in and around the shelter area.

Participant agrees to alert Transit Staff to special maintenance needs and report any graffiti, vandalism, or suspicious activity to local law enforcement and/or Longview Transit staff.

Participant will provide brief monthly reports via email to include dates and times of cleaning.
